Negotiating to Get the Best Package

  • Sol Rosenbaum is a licensed PE and CEM and has been working in the energy efficiency field for 19+ years. From crawling through mechanical rooms & initial calculations to the construction & commissioning, he has been involved in all aspects of these projects. Alongside his engineering work, Sol has developed a passion for helping the next generation of younger engineers and founded www.TheEngineeringMentor.com as a side project to help "pay forward" the guidance & mentoring he received.

  • Arnold Morales is an aerospace professional, and founder of Nontraditional College Success. He specializes in helping STEM students and professionals land their dream job and what school doesn't teach professionals to be successful. Arnold has given presentations to 50+ groups with some audiences in the hundreds. He has been a professor, recruiter, and scholarship interviewer. Arnold also is on advisory councils for several colleges and universities. He has interned, worked, and received offers from companies like Aerodyn, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Rolls-Royce, Cummins, and Allison transmission.

  • Lauren Hasson is an accomplished Principal Software Engineer at a leading Silicon Valley payments company where she has worked for the past five years. Lauren is also the best-selling author of The DevelopHer Playbook, published in 2021. Despite her numerous accolades, Lauren found herself with no job, no marketable skills, and no money in her bank account just ten years ago. Lauren found a way to rebuild her life from rock bottom and transformed herself into a top, high-profile professional in less than two years. Upon learning from a male peer that he had been hired at a 50% higher salary than her, Lauren was able to triple her base salary in just another two short years. Lauren then founded DevelopHer to help women in tech to get ahead, stand out, and build their value so that no one else would have to go at it alone like she did. Lauren now travels the world both virtually and to live events helping women and men professionally and personally move the needle to bridge the gender opportunity gap and has inspired thousands to reach for opportunities that they would have not otherwise reached for.

MEET YOUR NOT-SO-AVERAGE HOST

Neil Thompson

I am Neil Thompson, founder of Teach the Geek. Working as a product development engineer in the medical device industry, I struggled, and eventually got better at, public speaking. I now work with STEM professionals so they can present more effectively, especially in front of non-technical audiences. Improving your presentation skills is nice, but it’s even nicer if you have a job at which to use them! That’s why I brought these experts (also STEM professionals) together to create this summit. STEM people helping STEM people. What’s not to like?
